Media Relations

David has worked closely with both print and electronic media personnel at regional and national levels. His major responsibilities with the conservation organizations for which he has worked have revolved around promoting the organization's activities to the media, and subsequently to the public. His press releases are succinct and compelling and usually result in placement or other coverage. He has planned, coordinated, and implemented a number of events that included high-profile guests and speakers, including Bill Clinton's Presidential dedication of the Vic Fazio - Yolo Wildlife Area, near Sacramento, CA, in 1997.
While working as Public Affairs Coordinator with Ducks Unlimited, David Rosen was instrumental in the planning, coordination, and implementation of President Clinton's dedication of the newly restored Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area in November 1997. Planning a Presidential event such as this involved working with the White House Advance Team, White House Communications Agency, White House Press Office, US Secret Service, local and national media, and the many partners in the wetland restoration project itself. The event was a major success and resulted in national media coverage.
